Batman & Robin #2

Batman is getting paternal.  He cares about Damian.  Almost to the point of being afraid.  Afraid he will die and unleash Damien on the world without proper supervision.  Like Bruce has been the best father figure to the Robins over the years.  He got one ‘killed’.

I’m not sure how DCs new continuity is working.  Supposedly the heroes have only been fighting crime for about 5 years.  So I’m not sure how they explain Damien, who obviously is in his early teens.  I guess Batman has been fighting crime longer than the others?

Damien is scary.  In this issue we get a deeper look at his back story.  The training and raising he was exposed to make him the homicidal maniac that he has become.  Just when he is showing restraint he then kills a helpless bat just for sport.  I’m not sure where they are going to take him, but at least it is different from the previous Robins.
