Birds of Prey #2

So we add a new hot chick to the Gotham team: Katana.  I was never really a big fan of her.  In a world where heroes can run faster light, or make giant green boxing gloves, she didn’t seem to special.  She’s a ninja with a sword.  That doesn’t sound to special.  But I”m liking this Katana better.  Crazy chick who talks to dead husband (with a sword)? That is much more interesting.  I hope she really is crazy, but I’m sure we will see the husband soon.  Too bad.

I don’t think I thrilled too hard on the buggy scene in the airport.  It was a bit Thelma & L for me.  And I don’t know what the whole CSI crime lab scene was all about, it didn’t really add much to the story.  But I guess you have to break up the fight scenes with something else or it would be one long fight issue.

I’m glad to see Poison Ivy.  Just when I thought the colorist was the laziest in comics (gray dudes on gray cabinets) he then throws in the Ivy introduction.   C+   Don
