Mister Terrific #2

For being the 3rd smartest man alive, the book has pretty dumb things going on.  Why are the people evacuating the location?  Supposedly in 5 minutes a tremor will flatten everything in 10 miles.  How fast can they run?  There is nowhere to go.  And then it will trigger an ‘extinction level’ earthquake!  How big could it be that everyone on the planet will die?  Will the magma erupt everywhere?  Will the vibrations be so severe that all people will be shaken to death?  Don’t we think that some people will survive?

All this to kill a senator.  That seems a bit of overkill.  Literally.

But I guess he is so smart he reboot his brain.  I hope his brain O.S. is more stable than Windows Vista, because I don’t want him to get a brain ‘crash’ while he is driving or operating heavy machinery.

I don’t know about the whole boardroom drama.  I could care less about the troubles of a brilliant billionaire.  Boo hoo.  His board doesn’t like him?  So, what.  His friend from college wants to take over his company?  So what.  I hope they resolve them soon.  But he his still has two beautiful women who want him so desperately that they will embarrass themselves to get him.  Boo hoo, for him.

But at least there is the mystery of the creature in the Nth dimension.  And he has a villain names Brainstorm.  For someone so smart couldn’t he get a better name.  Maybe hire an outside consultant and do some focus groups.  I think his name alone shows how stupid he is.  And his master plan is to use a political argument.  By showing people how their civil liberties are being threatened, they then go into a killing frenzy.  People don’t even vote when their liberties are threatened, why would they go all ‘mob justice’ about it?
