Static Shock #2

He is still too smart to like.  Not only does he know what a Faraday Cage is, but so do the villains.  Do I have to google a Farady Cage to not be left out?  Well, I’m not going to.  Also he understand Maglev and how bones fuse?

There are some references to the past, that are not fair to new readers.  I guess he got all his equipment from Hardware, but new readers don’t know Hardware.  Also, the reference to his old girlfriend?  Old time readers might miss the character, but I don’t think new readers need to have all the exposition on it.  But the best story is his sisters.  One is a clone and the other is real, but neither know which is which.  That is a story I would like to see, I hope they explore it.

There was nice touch in that the high school is Dwayne McDuffy high.  He was the original writer for this series (and many others) and dies recently.  He is missed, and it was a nice shout out.

I don’t know why the Joker needs to be in every comic.  I think it diminishes the character to be 2nd banana to the piranha, but maybe there is a story coming.
