So the team is starting to come together.  We’ve met a few of the existing characters like Red Robin, Wonder Girl, and Kid Flash.  And now we are introduced to Skitter and Solstice.  I’m not sure we know much about Skitter.  It seems like the typical ‘I am not a monster, even though I look like one’ story.  We’ve seen it before.  Does she have a tender heart?  Most likely.  But maybe it will have a new hook.  That fact that she has twin sister that hasn’t transformers at least opens up a bunch of new story possibilities.

I like Kid Flash a lot.  Back in the past he was known as Impulse, and he was hilarious.  He was raised by  video game and had no control what so ever.  It seems like the basis of that character is there, but it seems they took away his connection to the Flash?  That is too bad, as the whole speed force group was a deep story that I”m sad to see removed.

THere were some neat story points in this issue:  1) Kid Flash thinking that sidekicks out of fashion. 2) Wonder Girl’s house with its unicorn posters (how girly). 3) Superboy’s lack of conscience. 3) Robin’s large tip (it’s not his money) and his mall shopping.  And best of all the brothers.  I love how he/they talked in that pronoun style.  Too cool.
