SUMMARY:Book Club - Shubeik Lubeik
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nShubeik Lubeik \nby Deena Mohamed \nMeeting to discuss:  Saturday May 11.  Noon. \nThree wishes that are sold at an unassuming kiosk in Cairo link Aziza\, Nour\, and Shokry\, changing their perspectives as well as their lives. Aziza learned early that life can be hard\, but when she loses her husband and manages to procure a wish\, she finds herself fighting bureaucracy and inequality for the right to have—and make—that wish. Nour is a privileged college student who secretly struggles with depression and must decide whether or not to use their wish to try to “fix” this depression\, and then figure out how to do it. And\, finally\, Shokry must grapple with his religious convictions as he decides how to help a friend who doesn’t want to use their wish. Deena Mohamed brings to life a cast of characters whose struggles and triumphs are heartbreaking\, inspiring\, and deeply resonant. \nAlthough their stories are fantastical—featuring talking donkeys\, dragons\, and cars that can magically avoid traffic—each of these people grapples with the very real challenge of trying to make their most deeply held desires come true. \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n11/14/20 Uzamaki \n12/12/20 Cats of the Louvre \n1/4/21 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank \n2/13/21 The House \n3/13/21 Dracula MotherF**cker \n4/10/21 Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen \n5/8/21 Dead Day \n6/18/21 Rogue Planet \n7/10/21 We Only Find Them When They Are Dead \n8/7/21 Eight-Lane Runaways \n9/11/21 Resistance \n10/9/21 Pulp \n11/13/21 Basketful of Heads \n12/11/21 Department of Truth \n1/8/22 Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors \n2/19/22 Stray Dogs \n3/12/22 Graveneye \n4/9/22 Oksi \n5/14 Carthago \n6/11/22 I want to eat your pancreas \n7/9/22 Bubble \n8/13/22 Ballad of Sophie \n9-10 In. \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n7/8/23 Catwoman Lonely City \n8/12/23 Rain \n9/9/23 Chivalry \n10/14 /23 Always Never \n11/11/23 Swamp Thing Green Hell \n12/16/23 Monica \n1/13/24 Eight Billion Genies \n2/10/24 Aquaman: Andromeda \n3/9/24 Do A Powerbomb \n4/13/24 Wonder Woman Historia \n5/11/24 Shubeik Lubeik

SUMMARY:Book Club - Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nWonder Woman Historia: The Amazons \nby Kelly Sue Deconnick (Author)\, Phil Jimenez (Illustrator)\, Gene Ha (Illustrator)\, Nicola Scott (Illustrator) \nMillennia ago\, Queen Hera and the goddesses of the Olympian pantheon grew greatly dissatisfied with their male counterparts…and far from their sight\, they put a plan into action. A new society was born\, one never before seen on Earth\, capable of wondrous and terrible things…but their existence could not stay secret for long. When a despairing woman named Hippolyta crossed the Amazons’ path\, a series of events was set in motion that would lead to an outright war in heaven—and the creation of the Earth’s greatest guardian! \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n11/14/20 Uzamaki \n12/12/20 Cats of the Louvre \n1/4/21 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank \n2/13/21 The House \n3/13/21 Dracula MotherF**cker \n4/10/21 Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen \n5/8/21 Dead Day \n6/18/21 Rogue Planet \n7/10/21 We Only Find Them When They Are Dead \n8/7/21 Eight-Lane Runaways \n9/11/21 Resistance \n10/9/21 Pulp \n11/13/21 Basketful of Heads \n12/11/21 Department of Truth \n1/8/22 Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors \n2/19/22 Stray Dogs \n3/12/22 Graveneye \n4/9/22 Oksi \n5/14 Carthago \n6/11/22 I want to eat your pancreas \n7/9/22 Bubble \n8/13/22 Ballad of Sophie \n9-10 In. \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n7/8/23 Catwoman Lonely City \n8/12/23 Rain \n9/9/23 Chivalry \n10/14 /23 Always Never \n11/11/23 Swamp Thing Green Hell \n12/16/23 Monica \n1/13/24 Eight Billion Genies \n2/10/24 Aquaman: Andromeda \n3/9/24 Do A Powerbomb

SUMMARY:Book Club - Aquaman Andromeda
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nAquaman: Andromeda \nby Ram V. (Author)\, Christian Ward (Illustrator) \nWe are all haunted by our own stories… \nDeep in the Pacific Ocean\, at the farthest possible distance from any land\, sits Point Nemo: the spaceship graveyard. Since the dawn of the space race\, the nations of the world have sent their crafts there on splashdown\, to sink beneath the silent seas. But there is something…else at Point Nemo. A structure never made by human hands. And that structure seems to be…waking up. \nThe crew of the experimental submarine Andromeda\, powered by a mysterious black-hole drive\, have been chosen to investigate this mystery. But they aren’t the only ones pursuing it. Anything of value beneath the ocean is of interest to the master pirate Black Manta… and anything that attracts Black Manta attracts Arthur Curry\, his lifelong foe\, the Aquaman! But heaven help them all when the doors of the mystery at Point Nemo swing wide to admit them in \n  \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n7/8/23 Catwoman Lonely City \n8/12/23 Rain \n9/9/23 Chivalry \n10/14 /23 Always Never \n11/11/23 Swamp Thing Green Hell \n12/16/23 Monica \n1/13/24 Eight Billion Genies

SUMMARY:Book Club - Monica
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nMonica \nBy Daniel Clowes \nMonica is a series of interconnected narratives that collectively tell the life story ― actually\, stories ― of its title character. Clowes calls upon a lifetime of inspiration to create the most complex and personal graphic novel of his distinguished career. Rich with visual detail\, an impeccable ear for language and dialogue\, and thrilling twists\, Monica is a multilayered masterpiece in comics form that alludes to many of the genres that have defined the medium ― war\, romance\, horror\, crime\, the supernatural\, etc. ― but in a mysterious\, uncategorizable\, and quintessentially Clowesian way that rewards multiple readings. \nFive years in the making\, Monica marks the apex of creativity from one of the defining voices of the graphic novel boom over the past quarter-century. A new book from Clowes is always a huge event in comics and literary circles; Monica will be the biggest literary event of 2023. \n  \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n7/8/23 Catwoman Lonely City \n8/12/23 Rain \n9/9/23 Chivalry \n10/14 /23 Always Never \n11/11/23 Swamp Thing Green Hell \n12/9/23 Monica

SUMMARY:Book Club - Swamp Thing: Green Hell
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nSwamp Thing: Green Hell \nby Jeff Lemire (Author)\, Doug Mahnke (Illustrator)\, \nThe Earth is all but done. The last remnants of humanity cling to a mountaintop island lost in endless floodwater. The Parliaments of the Green\, the Red\, and the Rot all agree: it’s time to wipe the slate clean and start the cycle of life over again. And to do so\, they’ve united their powers to summon an avatar-one of the most horrific monsters to ever stalk the surface of this forsaken planet. Against a creature like that\, there can be no fighting back…unless you have a soldier who understands the enemy. Someone who has used its tactics before. Someone like Alec Holland. \nOf course\, it would help if Alec Holland hadn’t been dead for decades… \nJeff Lemire—the author of the smash hits Joker: Killer Smile and The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage\, along with the graphic novel that inspired the television sensation Sweet Tooth—returns to Black Label with one of the greatest artists in modern DC history\, Doug Mahnke\, in tow! SUMMARY:Book Club - Always Never
DESCRIPTION:  \nEach month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nAlways Never \nby Jordi Lafebre (Author\, Illustrator)\, Clémence Sapin (Illustrator) \nEisner Nominated for Best International Material \nAfter forty years of being madly in love\, Ana and Zeno are finally retiring and giving their romance a chance to bloom while they both still have time left. A unique but relatable love story told in reverse\, with each chapter stepping further back through the decades of touch and go courting\, showing both the heartbreaking moments that kept the two lovers apart and the beautiful moments that kept their flame alive. This isn’t a tale of missed connections and regret but rather a story celebrating the complexities of family\, responsibility\, destiny\, and how love persists across time with complete disregard for all of that. \nAna is a brilliant\, headstrong\, and compassionate mayor of a small city\, with a lovely husband\, daughter\, and granddaughter. Yet there has been a lingering piece of her life missing — a thread of happiness she hasn’t been able to pull on for most of her life. Zeno\, a lifelong bachelor\, bookstore owner\, intrepid traveler\, and theoretical physicist determined to figure out how to turn back time. Handsome\, clever\, and kind\, he is often questioned about his failure to “settle down.” Over the years\, they have woven together an impossible and inexhaustible love. Their paths constantly intertwining\, from a chance meeting on a boat to clumsily bumping into each other in the city they share. Eventually keeping in touch by letters and late-night phone calls across the world. \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n11/14/20 Uzamaki \n12/12/20 Cats of the Louvre \n1/4/21 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank \n2/13/21 The House \n3/13/21 Dracula MotherF**cker \n4/10/21 Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen \n5/8/21 Dead Day \n6/18/21 Rogue Planet \n7/10/21 We Only Find Them When They Are Dead \n8/7/21 Eight-Lane Runaways \n9/11/21 Resistance \n10/9/21 Pulp \n11/13/21 Basketful of Heads \n12/11/21 Department of Truth \n1/8/22 Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors \n2/19/22 Stray Dogs \n3/12/22 Graveneye \n4/9/22 Oksi \n5/14 Carthago \n6/11/22 I want to eat your pancreas \n7/9/22 Bubble \n8/13/22 Ballad of Sophie \n9-10 In. \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n7/8/23 Catwoman Lonely City \n8/12/23 Rain \n9/9/23 Chivalry \n10/ /23 Always Never \n

SUMMARY:Book Club - Catwoman Lonely City
DESCRIPTION:Each month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nCatwoman Lonely City \nBy Cliff Chiang \nSaturday July 8th.  Noon. \nTen years ago\, the massacre known as Fools’ Night claimed the lives of Batman\, the Joker\, Nightwing\, and Commissioner Gordon…and sent Selina Kyle\, the Catwoman\, to prison. \nA decade later\, Gotham has grown up—it’s put away costumed heroism and villainy as childish things. The new Gotham is cleaner\, safer…and a lot less free\, under the watchful eye of Mayor Harvey Dent and his Batcops. It’s into this new city that Selina Kyle returns\, a changed woman…with her mind on that one last big score: the secrets hidden inside the Batcave! She doesn’t need the money—she just needs to know…who is “Orpheus”? \nPAST SELECTIONS: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n11/14/20 Uzamaki \n12/12/20 Cats of the Louvre \n1/4/21 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank \n2/13/21 The House \n3/13/21 Dracula MotherF**cker \n4/10/21 Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen \n5/8/21 Dead Day \n6/18/21 Rogue Planet \n7/10/21 We Only Find Them When They Are Dead \n8/7/21 Eight-Lane Runaways \n9/11/21 Resistance \n10/9/21 Pulp \n11/13/21 Basketful of Heads \n12/11/21 Department of Truth \n1/8/22 Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors \n2/19/22 Stray Dogs \n3/12/22 Graveneye \n4/9/22 Oksi \n5/14 Carthago \n6/11/22 I want to eat your pancreas \n7/9/22 Bubble \n8/13/22 Ballad of Sophie \n9-10 In. \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23 Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n5/13/23 Nice House on the Lake \n6/10/23 TMNT – Last Ronin \n

SUMMARY:Book Club
DESCRIPTION:  \nBook Club: \nEach month we select a notable graphic novel for the book club.  It is 25% Off to everyone all month.  At the end of the month we meet to discuss. \nThis month’s selection is \nNice House on the Lake \nJames Tynion IV (Author)\, Alvaro Martinez Bueno (Illustrator)\nEisner Award Winner 2022\, Best New Series \nEveryone who was invited to the house knows Walter—well\, they know him a little\, anyway. Some met him in childhood; some met him months ago. And Walter’s always been a little…off. \nBut after the hardest year of their lives\, nobody was going to turn down Walter’s invitation to an astonishingly beautiful house in the woods\, overlooking an enormous sylvan lake. It’s beautiful\, it’s opulent\, it’s private—so a week of putting up with Walter’s weird little schemes and nicknames in exchange for the vacation of a lifetime? Why not? \nAll of them were at that moment in their lives when they could feel themselves pulling away from their other friends; wouldn’t a chance to reconnect be…nice? In The Nice House on the Lake\, the overriding anxieties of the 21st century get a terrifying new face—and it might just be the face of the person you once trusted most. \nPast Book Clubs: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12  The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12  Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12  Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13  Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17  Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n11/14/20 Uzamaki \n12/12/20 Cats of the Louvre \n1/4/21 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank \n2/13/21 The House \n3/13/21 Dracula MotherF**cker \n4/10/21 Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen \n5/8/21 Dead Day \n6/18/21 Rogue Planet \n7/10/21 We Only Find Them When They Are Dead \n8/7/21 Eight-Lane Runaways \n9/11/21 Resistance \n10/9/21 Pulp \n11/13/21 Basketful of Heads \n12/11/21 Department of Truth \n1/8/22 Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors \n2/19/22 Stray Dogs \n3/12/22 Graveneye \n4/9/22 Oksi \n5/14/22 Carthago \n6/11/22 I want to eat your pancreas \n7/9/22 Bubble \n8/13/22 Ballad of Sophie \n9/10/22 In. \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Full Circle \n3/11/23  Ducks \n4/8/23 Radiant Black \n

A Vagrant\, there was Katie Beaton of the Cape Breton Beaton\, specifically Mabou\, a tight-knit seaside community where the lobster is as abundant as beaches\, fiddles\, and Gaelic folk songs. With the singular goal of paying off her student loans\, Katie heads out west to take advantage of Alberta’s oil rush―part of the long tradition of East Coasters who seek gainful employment elsewhere when they can’t find it in the homeland they love so much. Katie encounters the harsh reality of life in the oil sands\, where trauma is an everyday occurrence yet is never discussed.

DESCRIPTION:Comic Quest Comic Book Club! \nTalk about the comics you love with people who also love comics! \n25% off the monthly selection! \nSaturday 2/11/23 \nNoon \nThis month: \n \nFantastic Four Full Circle\nBy Alex Ross \nIt’s a rainy night in Manhattan and not a creature is stirring except for . . . Ben Grimm. When an intruder suddenly appears inside the Baxter Building\, the Fantastic Four—Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards)\, the Invisible Woman (Susan Storm Richards)\, the Human Torch (Johnny Storm)\, and the Thing (Ben Grimm)—find themselves surrounded by a swarm of invading parasites. These carrion creatures composed of Negative Energy come to Earth using a human host as a delivery system. But for what purpose? And who is behind this untimely invasion? \nThe Fantastic Four have no choice but to journey into the Negative Zone\, an alien universe composed entirely of anti-matter\, risking not just their own lives but the fate of the cosmos! \nIt’ll be like Oprah’s Book Club but with less Oprah Winfrey and more comics!* \n*Comic Quest cannot guarantee that Oprah Winfrey will not show up. \nPast Books: \n6/4/11 Morning Glories \n7/9/11 Irredeemable \n8/6/11 Chew \n9/10/11 Batwoman: Elegy \n10/8/11 Fables 1 Legends in Exile \n11/5/11 Marvel Zombies 1 \n12/3/11 Green Hornet: Sins of our Fathers 1 \n2/11/12 Sandman 1: Preludes & Nocturnes \n3/3/12 The New Teen Titans: Games \n4/12/12 Return of the Dapper Men \n6/2/12 Asterios Polyp \n8/22/12 Watchmen \n10/12/12 Locke & Key 1 \n12/12/12 Christmas Carole \n2/13/13 Invincible \n4/13/13 Building Stories \n6/18/13 Prophet \n8/3/13 Young Inhumans \n9/16/13 Midnight Nation \n10/13/13 Hawkeye: 1 My life as a weapon \n12/28/13 Blacksad \n2/12/14 Porcelain \n3/29/14 Saga 1 \n5/17/14 Fatale 1 \n6/25/14 The Property \n8/2/14 Good Dog \n9/3/14 Trillium \n10/1/14 Rat Queens \n11/8/14 WinterWorld \n12/5/14 Black Widow 1 \n1/10/15 Astro City: Life in the Big City \n2/28/15 Beautiful Darkness \n3/28/15 Seconds \n4/25/15 The Wake \n5/24/15 Here \n6/27/15 This One Summer \n7/25/15 Gigantic Beard That Was Evil \n9/5/15 The Wicked and the Divine \n10/3/15 Black Science: 1 \n11/7/15 Wytches \n12/5/15 Nimona \n1/30/16 Jessica Jones: AKA Alias \n3/5/16 Supermutant Magic Academy \n4/19/16 Private Eye \n5/14/16 Southern Bastard \n6/11/16 Lady Killer \n7/16/16 Long Walk to Valhalla \n8/13/16 Monstress \n9/10/16 Paper Girls \n10/15/16 Panther \n11/12/16 Afterlife with Archie \n12/10/16 Ruins \n1/7/17 Klaus \n2/17/17 Mooncop \n4/1/17 Sheriff of Babylon \n5/13/17 Vision: 1 \n6/27/17 Eartha \n7/29/17 Lennon \n8/26/17 Wonder Woman: A True Amazon \n9/30/17 Patience \n10/28/17 Halloween Tales \n11/25/17 My Favorite Things is Monsters \n1/6/18 Daytripper \n2/10/18 Snotgirl: Green Hair Don’t Care \n3/17/18 Black Panther \n4/7/18 Niourk \n5/12/18 Killing & Dying \n6/9/18 Infinity Gauntlet \n7/14/18 Black Hammer \n8/11/18 Boundless \n9/8/18 I Kill Giants \n10/20/18 Rome West \n12/1/18 Dark Nights Metal \n12/29/18 Skyward \n2/2/19 Roughneck \n3/2/19 Upgrade Soul \n4/6/19 WaterSnakes \n5/11/19 The Lie and How We Told It \n6/8/19 Mister Miracle \n7/13/19 Immortal Hulk \n8/10/19 Come Again \n9/14/19 My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies \n10/5/19 Batman White Knight \n11/2/19 Bone Parish 1 & 2 \n12/14/19 Exit Stage Left \n1/4/20 Heroes in Crisis \n2/1/20 Sabrina \n3/7/20 Green Lantern: Intergalactic Lawman \n4/18/20 Star Trek Next Generation Mirror Broken \n6/13/20 DIE \n7/11/20 Something is Killing the Children \n8/8/20 Once & Future \n9/12/20 Freedom Fighters \n10/10/20 Are you Listening? \n10/8/22 Destroy All Monsters \n11/12/22 You Died an Anthology of the Afterlife \n12/10/22 Monsters \n1/14/23 Goblin Girl \n2/11/23 Fantastic Four Ful Circle
