DESCRIPTION:Comic Quest 40k RTT Tourney by Dicehammer. \nSaturday AUGUST 9 \nWarhammer 40\,000 Gameplay! Come and join the fun! \nCasual two round 40k event at Comic Quest\, August 9. \nSign-ups will be on BCP (Best Coast Pairings). https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/rB523jToLCJ \nDETAILS & SCHEDULE: \nComic Quest August 40k 2-Round event by Dicehammer \n2 round event. Missions and GW terrain layout TBD. \n2\,000 points. All players will receive 10 points for being Battle Ready. \n3 hour rounds. 30 minute lunch. Round 1 starts at 10AM. Chess clocks are recommended to keep games on track. \nIf there are an odd number of players there will be a bye. In the first round the TO will take the bye. In subsequent rounds the lowest scoring player will take the bye. The player with the bye will receive an 80 point win. \nSchedule: \n\n9:30 Setup\n10:00-1:00 Round 1 (extra 15 minute buffer for round 1)\n1:00-1:30 Lunch\n1:30 – 4:30 Round 2\n\nPrizes for the top 4 \nPairings will be Win Path\, Wins and Battle Points \nPlacings will be Wins\, Battle Points\, Opponent Win % \n$17 entry fee. $10 per ticket goes back to prize support. Refunds can be processed through the Thursday before the event. Late drop and no shows will not receive a refund.

DESCRIPTION:FREE Board Game Demo: Codenames \n  \nSaturday Aug 9 Noon  – 3pm \nComic Quest is providing FREE demos of a fun board game. Learn in a couple of minutes\, it might be your next favorite game. \nPlus\, a discount on the game all day! \n  \nIn Codenames\, two teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Lay out 25 cards\, each bearing a single word. The spymasters look at a card showing the identity of each card\, then take turns clueing their teammates. A clue consists of a single word and a number\, with the number suggesting how many cards in play have some association to the given clue word. The teammates then identify one agent they think is on their team; if they’re correct\, they can keep guessing up to one more than the stated number of times; if the agent belongs to the opposing team or is an innocent bystander\, the team’s turn ends; and if they fingered the assassin\, they lose the game.
