In the game\, you wager cards to win loot from the central cell block\, then stash that loot wisely in your vault\, earning gears based on the position of cards within that vault. You can also gain gears from scoring objectives that change each game. \nWith cunning and clever scheming\, make your bid to be feared amongst your peers! You’ll need wits and luck to play your cards right as you fill your vault and influence the warden in your favor. After nine rounds\, whoever has the most gears wins!

There are many platforms that will cause very unorthodox combat and even closer than some armies would prefer. But the unexpected activation of ray shields might change someone’s movement or force two units to fight. This table will have many height differences and platforms with the mission being fighting heroes and killing them for points. \nPod Racing: Start your engines\, as you must compete against your opponent to move your pod racer through the track as fast as possible and make it to the finish line. But watch out as the other pod racers might get in your path to stop you from victory. This is a canyon based table where you will move your podracer around the track to finish the course before your opponent. \nThe Senate Floor: I love democracy\, as the true fighting is fought in the senate. Have your voice be heard as you have representatives speak their mind and “vote’ on current matters that can impact your game AND other games around you. Units with a political background will have a bigger impact here. This table will have many key locations that will control who gets to vote on the issues at the end of the round and whoever controls the chancellor’s seat in the center has the emergency powers to control the game. \nGreat Grass Plains: The battle has been brought to Theed. Fight in open warfare. The defenders have a mighty Famba that creates a shield that protects your units but the attackers’ mighty onslaught will keep coming. Who will hold out longer? This table is an attack and defend style mission where each side will have advantage to gain the upper hand on the battlefield as they fight to the death. \nNaboo Swamps: Trek through the swamps of Naboo after just landing on the planet. Find your forces and quickly get your bearings as the swamp is unforgiving. Some humble servants might be found in these swamps to assist you as a guide but the terrain itself is very rough.” This table has many terrain aspects that will affect units that are unprepared for the harsh environment. If they units can regroup and await a signal from command they will be able to win the day. \n

Fans carry around a towel due to a passage in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (and an earlier reference in the preceding radio series) that praises the versatility of towels for interstellar hitchhikers. May 25th doesn’t have any particular meaning in the fandom (FYI\, the anniversary of the first radio broadcast is March 8th)\, the anniversary of the death of Douglas Adams is a few weeks earlier and it took time to set up the first Towel Day.

DESCRIPTION:FREE Demo: Arboretum \n  \nSaturday June 1. 11am – 2pm \nComic Quest is providing FREE demos of a fun board game. Learn in a couple of minutes\, it might be your next favorite game. \n  \nArboretum is a strategy card game for 2-4 players\, aged 10 and up\, that combines set collection\, tile-laying and hand management while playing in about 25 minutes. Players try to have the most points at the end of the game by creating beautiful garden paths for their visitors. \nThe deck has 80 cards in ten different colors\, with each color featuring a different species of tree; each color has cards numbered 1 through 8\, and the number of colors used depends on the number of players. Players start with a hand of seven cards. On each turn\, a player draws two cards (from the deck or one or more of the discard piles)\, lays a card on the table as part of her arboretum\, then discards a card to her personal discard pile. \nWhen the deck is exhausted\, players compare the cards that remain in their hands to determine who can score each color. For each color\, the player(s) with the highest value of cards in hand of that color scores for a path of trees in her arboretum that begins and ends with that color; a path is a orthogonally adjacent chain of cards with increasing values. For each card in a path that scores\, the player earns one point; if the path consists solely of trees of the color being scored\, the player scores two points per card. If a player doesn’t have the most value for a color\, she scores zero points for a path that begins and ends with that color. Whoever has the most points wins.

Learn in a couple of minutes\, it might be your next favorite game. \n  \nYou are one of the two most powerful traders in the city of Jaipur\, the capital of Rajasthan\, but that’s not enough for you because only the merchant with two “seals of excellence” will have the privilege of being invited to the Maharaja’s court. You are therefore going to have to do better than your direct competitor by buying\, exchanging\, and selling at better prices\, all while keeping an eye on both your camel herds. \nJaipur is a fast-paced card game\, a blend of tactics\, risk and luck. On your turn\, you can either take or sell cards. If you take cards\, you have to choose between taking all the camels\, taking one card from the market\, or swapping 2-5 cards between the market and your cards. \nIf you sell cards\, you get to sell only one type of good\, and you receive as many chips for that good as the number of cards you sold. The chips’ values decrease as the game progresses\, so you’d better hurry! On the other hand\, you receive increasingly high rewards for selling three\, four\, or five cards of the same good at a time\, so you’d better wait! \nYou can’t sell camels\, but they’re paramount for trading and they’re also worth a little something at the end of the round\, enough sometimes to secure the win\, so you have to use them smartly.

If you are interested in learning how to play there are “learn to play” sessions approximately once a month. \nOur games are frequently full.  Whether there is room at any given table changes week to week\, so you have to post a message on the channel of any table you think you might be interested in to see if there are currently openings\, as priority goes to regularly attending players.
