Lake Forest’s Comic Book & Game Store Since 1981

Comic Quest has sat at the corner of comics and gaming in Lake Forest since 1981. Don and Kelly Allen opened the doors more than forty years ago, and we have spent every week since filling the shelves for Orange County’s readers, gamers, and collectors.

Walk in on a Wednesday and the new comic rack is freshly stocked. Marvel, DC, Image, the indies, all of it. Keep going and you will hit roughly 4,000 graphic novels, 2,000 manga volumes, a board game wall 1,700 titles deep, and a miniatures section with more than 6,000 models. If you play it, odds are good we carry it.

New Comics Every Wednesday

New books land every week, and our regulars know to swing by on Wednesday. We carry Marvel, DC, Image, BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse, IDW, and a healthy shelf of small-press titles. Ask us about a pull list and we will set your books aside every week so nothing sells out before you get here.

Games for Every Table

The board game wall covers everything from fifteen-minute fillers to all-day campaign games, plus the full Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder lineups, 6,000+ miniatures, and 2,400 paint colors. We also stock every major card game: Magic, Pokemon, Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, One Piece, and Gundam.

Something Going On Most Nights

There is almost always a game running. Friday Night Magic, Lorcana on Tuesdays, D&D on Wednesdays, miniatures on Tactical Thursday, and free board game demos most Saturdays from noon to 3pm. New here? Pull up a chair. Our crowd is friendly and used to teaching.
