      Eliza Doolittle Day is celebrated on May 20th, based on a line from the song "Just You Wait" in the 1956 Broadway musical My Fair Lady. In the song, the character Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, imagines the king saying "Next week on the twentieth of May, I proclaim Liza Doolittle Day"
